Advanced Practice Provider

Are you an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) who is passionate about working in women’s health care? Consider joining our practice as we expand our team!

Moreland OB-GYN is a well-respected, physician owned private medical practice proudly serving Waukesha and its surrounding communities since 1960. Fourteen physicians and four Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NPs) make up our medical team dedicated to the needs of the community by promoting overall excellence in the delivery of women’s health care.

In this role, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will have clinical experience to assess women of various age groups and be able to evaluate, diagnose, and create treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate. The PA/NP will also perform complete physical examinations, perform procedures as well as order and interpret diagnostic tests. The APP will join a collaborative work environment with our physicians to achieve the best health outcomes for patients.

This is a four-day, 32-hour, day position with flexibility needed to cover clinic hours and the locations we serve. No weekends, nights, on-call, or holidays!

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an NP/PA in an OB-GYN or Women’s Health clinic setting preferred
  • Excellent bedside manner and collaborative communication skills
  • Master’s degree and certification from an accredited NP/PA program
  • An active NP/PA license in the State of Wisconsin
  • Must have prescriptive authorization, an active DEA license, and can work autonomously
  • BLS certification required

Medical Chaperone

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team! This is a first shift position, working 4 days a week, no weekends, no call, or holidays.  

 Flexibility needed to support our Waukesha and Oconomowoc Clinics: Mondays (7:30am-4:30pm in Oconomowoc), Tuesdays (8am-4pm in Waukesha), Wednesdays (OFF), Thursdays (10am-6pm in Waukesha), and Fridays (8am-4pm in Waukesha).

 Summary: Responsible for providing professional care as a liaison between patients and physicians. You will assist during a patient visit to ensure the patient and provider are comfortable, safe, and secure during exams or procedures as a trained observer. We invest in our employees to support growth and development within Moreland OB-GYN.  

 Key responsibilities include: 

  • Observe and assist during a visit that includes an exam, treatment, or procedure of sensitive body areas. 
  • As a member of the care team, upholds professional standards of privacy and confidentiality, be sensitive and respect the patient’s dignity and confidentiality.  
  • Facilitate communication, be familiar with the procedures involved in a routine sensitive exam, stay for the entire physical examination, and be able to see what the provider is doing. 
  • Assist provider with procedures and proper handling of specimen collection. 
  • Additional Medical Assistant duties once trained may include: 
  • Assists physician/provider in preparation of patients for exam, intake of health information including vitals. 
  • Manages daily office duties; medication refills, result notifications, documentation within EMR. 
  • Collaborates regarding plan of care, facilitating follow-up, and administration of medications/ injections under guidance of provider and or nurse. 
  • Provides appropriate teaching to patients and family as directed. Acts as patient advocate, assessing learning needs of patients. 
  • Oversees smooth progression of daily patient schedules, monitoring patient flow, and assists patients scheduling appointments as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities: 

 

  • At least a year of clinical healthcare experience. Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience preferred along with current CPR certification. 
  • Previous OB-GYN experience helpful but not required. 
  • Must be knowledgeable of Electronic Medical Records. EPIC experience preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and time management skills

Sonographer

This is a first shift, four-day a week position, working 32 hours a week. No weekends, no holidays, no on-call. This position will primarily support our Waukesha and Oconomowoc Clinics; however, flexibility is needed to help at our Mukwonago Clinic as needed. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high-quality sonographic images. 
  • Create detailed patient worksheets to provide physicians with accurate diagnostic images for interpretation. 
  • Promote a smooth flow of patients to create a calm and supportive atmosphere. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities: 

  • Registered Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in OB-GYN 
  • 1 year OB-GYN scanning experience preferred. 
  • EPIC experience preferred, but not required. 
  • Self-motivated and organized to work in a fast-paced environment at an elevated level. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Utilize clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high-quality sonographic images.

Triage Nurse

We are looking for an experienced triage nurse. This position could be 3 or 4 days a week with the opportunity to work between 28-32 hours a week. Flexibility is needed to support our clinic hours of Monday-Thursday between 7:30am-6pm, and Fridays 7:30am-4pm, and both our Waukesha and Oconomowoc Clinics. No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call. 

Two years’ experience as a nurse with one year of triage experience preferred. Woman’s health experience preferred.

Summary: Responsible for providing professional nursing care to OB/GYN patients in an ambulatory setting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Executes duties as a triage nurse which includes emergent calls/situations, data collection and documentation. 
  • May assist physician/providers, as well as planning, organizing, and coordinating patient care and in-office procedures. 
  • Collaborates regarding plan of care and facilitating follow-up. 
  • Provides appropriate teaching to patients and family as directed. Acts as patient advocate, assessing learning needs of patients. 
  • Supervises all nursing functions and takes responsibility for mentoring duties performed by LPN or MA. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities: 

  • Current valid nurse license; ADN or BSN along with CPR certification. 
  • Two years’ experience as a nurse and one year experience in triage preferred. 
  • Woman’s health, OB-GYN or L&D experience preferred. 
  • Must be knowledgeable of Electronic Medical Records. EPIC experience preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, telephone etiquette, and remaining calm in emergency situations. 
  • Ability to use critical thinking/ problem solving strategies, exceptional organization, and time management skills. 
  • Above average skills in patient education and counseling.
