MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA) and/or LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

We are looking for a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! We are open to someone looking to work 4-5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (32-40 hours a week). This position primarily supports our Waukesha Clinic; however, you will be cross trained to support our other locations to help as needed.

 

Flexibility needed to support clinical hours: Monday-Thursdays 7:30am-6pm and Fridays 8-4pm. Working Mondays and Fridays is a must. NO weekends, NO call, NO holidays.

Summary: Responsible for providing professional care as a liaison between patients and physicians.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rooming patients and assisting physician/provider in preparation of patients for exam.
  • Intake of health information including vitals.
  • Manages daily office duties; medication refills, result notifications, documentation within EMR.
  • Collaborates regarding plan of care, facilitating follow-up, and administration of medications/ injections under guidance of provider or nurse.
  • Provides appropriate teaching to patients and family as directed. Acts as patient advocate, assessing learning needs of patients.
  • Oversee smooth progression of daily patient schedules, monitoring patient flow, and assists patients scheduling appointments as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

  • The completion of a Medical Assistant training program or LPN Licensure. Current CPR certification.
  • Previous OB-GYN experience helpful but not required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Electronic Medical Records. EPIC experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and time management skills

MEDICAL BILLER/PAYMENT POSTER (ON-SITE)

This key role supports our patients through high quality claims management with a kind and compassionate approach. This is full-time, on-site, Monday - Friday, 40-hour day position. This on-site position is located at our Waukesha Clinic.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Payment posting from insurance payer remittances electronically and on paper, for government and commercial payers
  • Work with patients to make payment arrangements, review benefits, and process refunds
  • Communicate with medical insurance companies regarding claims denials, remittances (EOB's) from payers, follow up authorizations, and insurance verification

KNOWLEDGE, SILLKS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of patient account transactions. Prior medical billing and payment posting experience required.
  • Exceptional organization skills, the ability to multi-task, and work independently
  • Strong computer skills in Excel and Word along with basic math knowledge
  • Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software (Epic) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry

MEDICAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN

Do you enjoy working independently and have excellent attention to detail? We need someone to maintain our patient records, files, scanned images, faxes, and release requests.

This is a full-time, Monday – Friday, 40-hour position located at our Waukesha Clinic.

Summary: This position maintains patient health records and is responsible for processing releases of information. Responds to requests for medical records and perform clerical duties as a key member of our clinic.

Job Functions:

    • Maintains patient files and retrieves outside medical records for scheduled appointments.
    • Responds to requests for medical records.
    • Scans medical records into appropriate patient charts.
    • Sends and receives information via fax. Point person for incoming and outgoing faxes.
    • Weigh/apply postage for office mailings.
    • Follows standards for releasing personal health information.
    • Maintains individual patient and overall disclosure logs.
    • Running monthly reports.
    • Composes letters and memos.
    • Imports appropriate results into patients’ health maintenance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

TRIAGE/CLINIC NURSE

We are looking for an experienced triage/clinic nurse. This position could be 4 or 5 days a week with the opportunity to work between 32-40 hours a week, 8-hour shifts. Flexibility is needed to support our clinic hours of Monday-Thursday between 7:00am-6pm, and Fridays 7:00am-4pm, and clinics in Waukesha and Oconomowoc in addition to cross training to support our other locations as needed. No weekends, no holidays, and no on call.

Summary: Responsible for providing professional nursing care to OB/GYN patients in an ambulatory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes duties as a triage nurse which includes emergent calls/situations, data collection, and documentation
  • Assist physician/providers, as well as planning, organizing, and coordinating patient care and in-office procedures
  • Collaborates regarding plan of care and facilitating follow-up
  • Provides appropriate teaching to patients and family as directed. Acts as patient advocate, assessing learning needs of patients.
  • Supervises all nursing functions and takes responsibility for mentoring duties performed by LPN or MA

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

  • Current valid nurse license; ADN or BSN along with CPR certification
  • Two years’ experience as a nurse and one year’s experience in triage preferred
  • Woman’s health, OB-GYN, or L&D experience preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable of Electronic Medical Records. EPIC experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, telephone etiquette, and remaining calm in emergency situations.
  • Ability to use critical thinking/ problem solving strategies, exceptional organization, and time management skills
  • Above average skills in patient education and counseling
